IELTS Classroom Training
International English Language Testing System (IELTS) is an English Proficiency Test jointly owned by the University of Cambridge ESOL Examinations, British Council and IDP: IELTS Australia. Over 1.7 million students world-wide take IELTS every year to start their journeys into international education and employment. IELTS is recognized by more than 7,000 institutions in over 135 countries.
IELTS, International English Language Testing System, is an internationally standardized test to assess the English Language proficiency of candidates who want to study or work in countries where English is used as the language of communication. It is accepted by most universities in the UK, Australia, New Zealand, the USA and Canada. IELTS is also required as a proof of your language abilities for immigration to Australia, New Zealand, Canada and the United Kingdom.
The IELTS examination consists of two modules: General Training and Academic. The General Training is suitable for candidates who are going abroad for immigration or training purposes (other than degree level), whereas, the Academic Reading and Writing modules are selected by candidates who wish to study at an undergraduate or postgraduate level.
The examination is divided into 4 units: Listening, Reading, Writing & Speaking. While listening and speaking is common to both the modules; the reading and writing categories are based on the candidates’ choice of module.
The Listening, Reading and Writing modules are completed in one day. The Speaking module may be taken, at the discretion of the test center, on the same day or up to two days prior or later.
